In the Czech Republic winter tyres are mandatory from 1 November to 31 March whenever there is snow, ice or frost on the road or it can be expected. The minimum tread depth of winter tyres is 4 mm for vehicles up to 3.5 t and 6 mm for heavier vehicles.
